BOATGUARD 100 from International Náutica is a polishing antifouling coating designed to protect boat hulls against fouling organisms such as slime, aquatic plants and marine animals. Suitable for professional application on vessels operating in both fresh and salt water, it provides effective protection for up to one year and can be applied up to six months before launching. Its polishing action helps maintain a smooth hull surface for efficient performance during the whole season.
The following values are indicative for correct drying and immersion, depending on substrate temperature:

When applied at the recommended film thickness, BOATGUARD 100 provides antifouling protection for up to 12 months under normal operating conditions.
Yes. The coating can be applied up to 6 months before launching, provided the boat is stored correctly and the surface remains clean.
It is suitable for GRP (fibreglass), wood, steel/iron and lead. It must not be used on aluminium or aluminium alloys, nor on zinc-coated surfaces.
It can be applied directly over most existing antifoulings in good condition, except VC17m and PTFE-based antifoulings. Surfaces must be properly cleaned and prepared.
With brush or roller, apply two coats to achieve a total of 100 microns dry film thickness. With professional airless spray, one 100-micron coat is sufficient.
The theoretical coverage is about 10 m²/L with brush or roller and 5 m²/L with airless spray. Practical coverage is typically around 9 m²/L (brush/roller) or 3 m²/L (spray), depending on conditions and technique.
On bare substrates, a suitable primer is required. Use Gelshield 200 or Primocon on untreated fibreglass, and Interprotect or Primocon on steel, iron, lead or wood.
You may only sand it wet. Dry sanding or burning off antifoulings is not allowed.
Use YTA085 Thinner No. 3 International for cleaning tools and equipment after application.
Yes. Apply only when ambient temperature is between 5°C and 35°C and the substrate is at least 3°C above the dew point and below 35°C.
