Epifanes Nonskid Beads are a premium-grade, free-flowing polypropylene powder additive designed to create durable, nonskid surfaces in Epifanes urethane topcoats. By simply stirring the beads into compatible Epifanes Mono-urethane or Poly-urethane coatings, you can turn standard finishes into effective nonskid deck coatings without changing application methods. The controlled particle size ensures an even, reliable texture that improves footing on yacht decks and other coated surfaces.
They are a premium grade polypropylene bead powder produced in a controlled particle size.
They are designed to be added to Epifanes Mono-urethane and Epifanes Poly-urethane Yacht Coatings, and are also suited for Epifanes Poly-urethane Clear Gloss and Epifanes PP Varnish Extra.
Add 20 g of Epifanes Nonskid Beads to 750 ml Epifanes Mono-urethane Yacht Coating or 750 g Epifanes Poly-urethane Yachtcoating.
After stirring the beads into the coating, allow the mixture to stand for 10–15 minutes before application.
Apply the coating with Nonskid Beads using a short-haired roller.
The applied paint should be allowed 72 hours to cure.
The beads are white but absorb the color of the base material, so the final appearance follows the underlying coating color.
When stored in a closed container in a dark and dry place between 5 – 25°C, the shelf life is unlimited.
According to the safety data sheet, the substance is not classified according to the Globally Harmonized System (GHS); NFPA and HMIS ratings for health, fire and reactivity are 0.
The VOC level is listed as not applicable; organic solvent content is 0.0% and solids content is 100.0%.
