Disc Anode

Sold as a single unit without hardware.

Galvanic corrosion is metal deterioration that occurs when dissimilar metals are joined together by a conductor in an electrically conductive fluid: the less noble metal (the anode) dissolves while the more noble metal (the cathode) remains protected.

Anode deterioration should be carefully monitored and replaced each year when antifouling/launching is performed or when anode is 75% dissolved.

The choice of anode depends on the nature of the water: Salt water: zinc anodes or aluminum anodes Fresh water: magnesium anodes Brackish water: aluminum anodes
